There is no try

I am trying though. We all are right?

Trying our hardest. In all of the “trying” though we actually are “doing”.

We fixate on the process of “trying”, and we don’t forget we’ve been “doing” all of this time, working towards the goal, pushing through hardships, moving forward, doing what we can with what we have.

“Just because the perfect picture we had in our head of the process or outcome didn’t happen that way, doesn’t mean failure, doesn’t mean we didn’t do our best.”

Trying becomes doing instantly if we allow ourselves to view it that way. Even if it appears in our head like we tried & failed, that isn’t what happened. You did it & no matter how minuscule the result, your existence experienced growth.

“You didn’t just try, you put forth the effort, you did your best. The outcome and process will not always look like what we thought.”

The magic really is in the “doing” part. The concept of “Trying” to me, can sometimes symbolize struggling & it can be a struggle but the word trying can sometimes feel defeating like we haven’t achieved anything, like we’re stuck in that mode, trying to do something, trying to get somewhere, when the whole time all of your trying was actually “doing”.

Even when it’s a struggle, you aren’t merely trying, you are in the process of doing.

Shift the perspective from “trying” to “doing” and see if it feels different. Celebrate the process and every step towards your goal or desired outcome. Allow yourself to take credit for the doing instead of feeling like you are residing within merely trying.

Wishing you ongoing wellbeing and managed health,

Sarah
